Music is a gift God has given us to facilitate our communion with Him. Many songs are actually prayers paired with a melody. Today, I want to share my prayer playlist with you.
These songs are all meaningful to me personally and I regularly use them as part of my personal time with God. Listen to the playlist and see if you find a few new gems you haven’t heard yet.
Melody, rhythm, and harmony can help ease our mind, body, and emotions into a place where our spirit is better able to connect with God’s Spirit. Songs are a great aid to fellowshipping at a deeper level with God. Worship is also a powerful ally in our daily battles.

There is a ton of great Christian music available today in a wide range of styles. These songs often speak God’s truths directly into our hearts and help us to articulate to God that which we feel deeply but struggle to express effectively.
I am developing a YouTube playlist with songs related to each section of our prayer guide. You can listen to these songs while you drive, or clean, or fold laundry and use them as prompts to prayer throughout your day.
You can also incorporate them into your prayer guide by listening to a song or two from each section before you begin to pray the corresponding part of the Lord’s Prayer. Be creative! What other ways can you use music to pray continually throughout your day?
It is still a work in progress, so if you know of any awesome songs I’ve left off the list, please let me know in the comments below. If you click on the icon in the upper left corner of the video, it will display a list of all the songs in the prayer playlist.
If you view the video on YouTube, you can also read the whole list of songs in the description box
