We are wrapping up with the final section of the Lord’s Prayer today. “For yours in the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever.” I could write so much about those four key words: kingdom, power, glory, and forever. There are TONS of rich verses on each of these. But we are running out of time and space for this particular series, so I’m going to keep it short today. Here are seven awesome verses about forever.
We cannot even begin to wrap our minds around what forever really means. Our thoughts can’t stretch that far without snapping. Don’t just plow through these verses and move on to the next cool thing on the internet. Take some time to really THINK about how huge God is and how small your problems are in comparison to Him. Praise Him with His own words!
For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
The LORD shall reign forever and ever.”
God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see.
To him be honor and might forever. Amen.
1 Timothy 6:15-16
Then the seventh angel sounded; and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever.”
I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever; For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, And His kingdom endures from generation to generation.
Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
1 Timothy 1:17
